RAYMOND DECANDIA

FOUNDER, BARBER

Ray is the Owner of True North Barber Shop. He served honorably in the US Navy from 2002 to 2010 and fell into barbering shortly after his departure. He regularly attends education for his craft and works as an educator for Reuzel Pomade. He focuses primarily on the classic men's haircuts and through his business does his best to re create the feel and sincerity of the original barber shop experience. He appreciates all people who come into his shop and will do his best to ensure that your experience at True North will be nothing short of exceptional.

CONNER DORSEY

BARBER

Conner is an Arizona native and has lived all over the Phoenix area. In highschool he found that he enjoyed the experience felt in a barbershop and became interested in learning more. After he graduated he knew that he wanted to enroll in barber college and learn the craft. He enjoys the traditional barber hairstyles and provides exemplary service to his clients.

AUSTIN

BARBER

Austin has always had a love of the 1950’s. Because of that love, he got asked to style hair for his high school's production of West Side Story. It was during that time that he found his passion for being a barber and pomade. After high school he immediately hopped into barber school and has been developing his skills ever since. When he is not slinging hair he enjoys playing the upright bass in several local bands, hanging out at rockabilly or psychobilly shows, and watching old horror movies. His attention to detail when cutting allows him to provide the best haircut possible.

BRENNAN

BARBER

Brennan has called Arizona home since 1999. He is originally from Atlanta Georgia. He attended Chaparral High School. Also played football at Scottsdale Community College. He Also honorably served in the United States Army where he was in the infantry and served with the 101st Airborne Division Iron Rakkasan’s. Brennan’s been a licensed barber since 2018 and also attended Toni & Guy Academy where he wanted to further his craft by learning how to cut longer hair. Brennan chose True North to challenge himself by surrounding himself with the best barbers in the game. Come in and try him out for yourself.

DAVID SEE

BARBER

Originally from southern California, David started his hairstylist career in Anaheim in 1993. In the late ‘90s He moved to San Francisco where he became a club deejay and met various bands and club-inspired clothing companies. He did hair for shows, nightclubs, and catalogues (pre-internet). In 2007 David moved to Arizona where he worked for several salons and barbershops. In 2018 he went to Rotterdam, Holland to attend Reuzel’s “The Old School” academy. As a hybrid Hairstylist/Barber his skills continue to evolve in his artistry.

BEN DAVIS

BARBER

Born and raised in Los Angeles, California Ben Davis studied barbering at ZMS academy. He has continued to hone his craft since 2018 before moving to Phoenix in 2021 to join the barbers at True North Barbershop.
